Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a hit-and-run in which a man was knocked out of his wheelchair and later died of his injuries.
The incident, involving a white truck believed to be a Mercedes that failed to stop, happened on 30 September at Hanlon's Corner on Dublin's North Circular Road.
The 87-year-old was taken to the Mater Hospital where he died four days later.
Gardaí have appealed to the driver of the truck or anyone with information to contact them at the Bridewell Garda Station on 01-666 8200. www.garda.ie
*Separately, the PSNI has arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drink or drugs.
An 18-year-old pedestrian died following an incident on the Malone Road in South Belfast in the early hours of this morning.
Another occupant of the vehicle involved, a white Renault van, is being treated for injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
