Two men have been arrested in Limerick after Gardaí seized a firearm following an incident in the Jonesboro area.
The discovery was made when a number of men fled from Gardaí patrolling McDonough Avenue yesterday afternoon.
One round of ammunition along with an iron bar, a baseball bat and number of other items were also seized.
Two men in their late teens were arrested at the scene.
They are being questioned at Roxboro Road Garda Station, where they can be held for up to 72 hours.
